President Stevo Pendarovski met today with Francis Fukuyama, American philosopher, scientist, political andeconomic analyst and author, and with professors from Stanford University, who are paying a visit to the Republic of North Macedonia on the occasion of the “Leadership Development Academy”, organized by the Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis”, which is held at the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” in Skopje.
The meeting discussed the global challenges of today, the development of domestic politics in the United States, the world trends and trends in politics and economics, as well as the development trends in the international order.
The interlocutors shared opinions and information on the European integration of our country, as well as on the regional stability, and discussed the challenges in the Euro-Atlantic bloc and the functioning of the European Union in times of crisis.
The developments in Ukraine and the region were also discussed at the meeting.
