As part of the participation in the Brdo-Brijuni Process, in Brdo pri Kranj, President Stevo Pendarovski met today with the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
President Pendarovski congratulated President Osmani on assuming office and expressed readiness for enhanced cooperation at the highest level in the coming period.
At the meeting, the interlocutors reaffirmed the interest in promoting bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and said that the deepening of good neighborly relations between the two countries will contribute to the progress, stability and security of the region.
Moreover, opinions were exchanged on current issues related to the European integration, the vaccination process and dealing with the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic in both countries.
For his part, President Pendarovski welcomed the announcements of the new Kosovo leadership for a comprehensive fight against organized crime and corruption, emphasizing that such a process will make a huge contribution, both for the development of Kosovo and the entire region.
The interlocutors also discussed the latest developments in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, when President Pendarovski reaffirmed the position that it is a dialogue between two sovereign states and that any result achieved should be aimed at strengthening regional stability.
