The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti.
At the meeting, opinions and information were exchanged on the current developments in the two countries, on the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries, as well as on the overall measures taken in dealing with the Covid-19 crisis.
President Pendarovski expressed confidence that the excellent bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Kosovo will continue to develop in the spirit of good neighborliness, and will be confirmed by concrete initiatives, which will simultaneously contribute to a prosperous and stable region and accelerated regional cooperation.
In that regard, the interlocutors exchanged views on the possibilities for deepening bilateral and regional economic cooperation, as well as for more intensive communication between the business sectors of the two countries.
“The global pandemic must not be an obstacle to the further advancing of the economic and trade relations, and to the intensifying of the mutual cooperation and support on the European integration plan, as well as the implementation of reform processes”, President Pendarovski said at a meeting with the Kosovo Prime Minister.
President Pendarovski welcomed the Agreement on Economic Normalization of Relations between Kosovo and Serbia signed in Washington, as a step towards finding a final compromise, noting that it will contribute to the overall stability of the region.
