President Stevo Pendarovski received today Lara Stanceva, a seventh grade student at the primary school “Lazo Trpovski” – Skopje, winner of the third prize at the 2021 International Essay Contest for Young People in Tokyo, Japan.
At the renowned contest organized by UNESCO and the GOI Foundation from Tokyo, Japan, held as part of the celebration of the “United Nations Decade for Sustainable Education Development”, Stanceva won the award in a competition of 28,217 participants from 161 countries.
President Pendarovski congratulated Stanceva on her success, assessing that the award is a pride for the whole country, given the strong competition and the large number of participants in the competition from around the world.
With intimate prose works written in the form of essays on the topic “What is Life”, the school at this renowned international competition, besides Stanceva, was represented by two other students, Milena Milosevska and Tamara Gjokeska, under the mentorship of the subject teacher of German, Stefan Simovski.
Our country has been participating in this contest continuously since 2011.
