President Stevo Pendarovski received today MEPs, Tineke Strik and Reinhard Butikofer, representatives from the Greens/Group of the European Free Alliance.
The meeting discussed the progress of North Macedonia in the European integration from the perspective of the screening process, the reform activities undertaken by the country and harmonization to the European legislation, as well as the current developments in the European Union.
President Pendarovski said that it is necessary to pay special attention to the reforms in the field of judiciary, fight against corruption and organized crime, and expressed his expectation that the European institutions will provide maximum support and speed up the accession process of North Macedonia, which will enable for the country to feel the real benefits during the negotiations.
At the meeting with the MEPs, President Pendarovski thanked for the previous support from the Greens/European Free Alliance Group, and said that the country is open for further cooperation.
