President Stevo Pendarovski received today the members of the Management Board of the Global Parliament of Mayors, who are staying in North Macedonia on the occasion of the Annual Summit, hosted by the Mayor of Skopje, Danela Arsovska.
The mayors informed President Pendarovski about their expectations and the topics of discussion at this year’s Summit titled “Powerful, Inclusive and Caring Cities: Delivering Democracy and Development for Next Generations”, in which over a hundred of mayors will participate, as well as a large number of representatives of international organizations. They said that the goal of this international gathering is to support and strengthen the role of cities and local leaders in providing a better, more democratic, more sustainable and more inclusive world for citizens.
President Pendarovski said that through this global platform the mayors had the opportunity to exchange international experiences from successfully implemented activities, network and collaborate on joint projects, which will contribute to overcoming challenges and improving services, in the interest of citizens.
