President Stevo Pendarovski received today representatives of the Association of Pensioners of Macedonia.
The representatives of the Association of Pensioners of Macedonia informed the President about the work and activities of their Association, which includes 53 unions of pensioners, in order to protect and promote the common interests of pension beneficiaries in the country.
They emphasized their priorities aimed at a more complete and unified commitment to the implementation of the rights from pension and disability insurance, for better health care, for the promotion of the cultural, sports and humanitarian needs of pensioners.
President Pendarovski welcomed the efforts of the Association of Pensioners of Macedonia, expressed his support for their work and stressed the care of the Association to its members, especially those with low pensions, through humanitarian and volunteer activities.
The meeting also discussed the cooperation of the Association with the municipalities and local self-government, the cooperation with other associations, non-governmental organizations and foundations, as well as with pensioners’ associations from other countries.
In the past year, in 2021, the Association of Pensioners of Macedonia celebrated 75 years of pensioners’ organization in our country and, for that reason, the representatives of the Association presented a plaque to President Pendarovski as a sign of gratitude for the support.
