Today, the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received Vasil Sterjovski, Member of Parliament of Macedonian origin from the political party Macedonian Alliance for European Integration in the Assembly of the Republic of Albania. MP Sterjovski was accompanied by Tako Grozdani, the party’s secretary general.
The current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the way of dealing with it in Albania, as well as the regions where the Macedonian population lives in the country were discussed at the meeting.
The interlocutors informed President Pendarovski about the current activities of the party Macedonian Alliance for European Integration in Albania in view of improving the position of the Macedonians in Albania, as well as the relations between the two countries.
President Pendarovski stated that North Macedonia and Albania have excellent cooperation, and the work of the Macedonian Alliance can contribute to the advancement of relations, as well as connecting the communities in both countries.
In addition to good neighborly relations, the two countries now have expanded opportunities for cooperation as NATO members, as well as sharing experiences in terms of the European integration.
