President Stevo Pendarovski received today representatives of the Union of Associations of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Sanitary Technicians of the Republic of Macedonia.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski was informed about the activities and commitments of the Union of Associations of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Sanitary Technicians in view of emphasizing laboratory activity as an important segment of laboratory diagnostics. In that context, the Union representatives informed about the implemented educational events and programs that aim to advance, promote and support the laboratory practice at a higher level. They also shared their impressions of the 50th jubilee edition of the October Gatherings held with international participation, an event of special importance for laboratory workers, as well as the April Gatherings, held in honor of the World Laboratory Day.
President Pendarovski said that the contribution of medical laboratory technicians and sanitary technicians within the overall health system is of essential importance and stressed the importance of their work for quality and timely care for patients.
At the meeting, the representatives of the Union of Associations of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Sanitary Technicians handed over a Certificate of Appreciation to President Pendarovski for his continuous support.
