President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Romania, Lieutenant General Daniel Petrescu, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, especially on defense cooperation which includes high-level visits, expert meetings in the fields of defense law, logistics and intelligence, trainings, courses, participation in training activities and professional training in military education centers in Romania.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the current cooperation between the two armies and concluded that with the membership of North Macedonia in NATO opens new opportunities for expanding the partnership.
President Pendarovski stressed the importance of continuing and developing bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, as well as maintaining a continuous and dynamic political-military dialogue between the two countries.
Information and opinions were exchanged on the contributions of the armies of the two countries in dealing with the pandemic caused by the Corona virus.
