President Stevo Pendarovski received today Jeppe Kofod, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark, who is paying a visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
The interlocutors at the meeting concluded that the two countries are continuously building friendly, allied and partnership relations. In that regard, President Pendarovski expressed interest in intensifying high-level political dialogue. President Pendarovski and Minister Kofod also stressed the need to improve the economic cooperation and trade.
The European Union enlargement process was discussed at the meeting, with President Pendarovski expressing gratitude for Denmark’s principled support for the European integration process of North Macedonia. President Pendarovski stressed that our country will continue to work on the domestic reform agenda, with a focus on the rule of law, strengthening the efficiency and impartiality of the judiciary and the fight against corruption.
The interlocutors also discussed the security situation in Afghanistan, as well as the decision of North Macedonia to accept Afghan civilians.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski thanked the Minister for the donated vaccines for protection against Covid-19.
