President Stevo Pendarovski, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Poland, met today in Warsaw with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki.
At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, and it was assessed that there is a solid basis for further development and improvement of the existing economic cooperation.
President Pendarovski stressed that the Republic of Poland is important partner of the Republic of North Macedonia in the NATO alliance and one of the loudest supporters of the aspirations for membership in the European Union. President Pendarovski extended his gratitude for the support so far and expressed his expectation that it will continue, adding that the Polish experience will be of great benefit to us for the accession process to the EU.
The meeting discussed the current situation in the wider region, in the context of the war in Ukraine, the energy and economic challenges in Europe and the mechanisms for overcoming them.
