President Stevo Pendarovski received today the three schoolgirls, participants in the 2023 HIPPO – English Language Olympiad which was held in Rome.
President Pendarovski congratulated the high-school student Ana Radeska from Skopje for winning first place at the Olympiad in the “Hippo 3” category, as well as Katja Gogova from Bogdanci and Tamara Nikolovski from Bitola, for their success and placing in the finals.
In the talks, President Pendarovski said that he is particularly proud that two years in a row, students from the country won the first place at this international Olympiad. That, as by President Pendarovski said, is a confirmation of the quality that our students possess. At the same time, he encouraged them to continue to upgrade their knowledge and achieve even greater international successes.
The schoolgirls and their mentors, at the meeting, pointed out that the Olympiad is an excellent opportunity to promote the importance and necessity of knowing the English language, as well as to bring together young people from all over the world, get to know each other culturally and promote cooperation between English language teachers.
The international Olympiad “HIPPO” has been organized since 2012. This year, more than 80,000 competitors from over 50 countries in the world took part in the Olympiad held in Rome.
