President Stevo Pendarovski received today Gabriel Escobar, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the United States of America, who is paying a two-day visit to our country.
At the meeting, the US support for the European aspirations of our country was confirmed. At the same time, official Washington expressed an expectation that North Macedonia would continue towards full membership in the European Union.
President Pendarovski emphasized the importance of the support that the United States provides for the achievement of the strategic goals of our country. In that direction, the meeting discussed the next steps that should be taken by North Macedonia in order to progress in the EU integration process.
The meeting also discussed the situation in the wider region, in the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
