President Stevo Pendarovski, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Croatia, laid a wreath at the Mirogoj City Cemetery in Zagreb and paid tribute to the grave of the Macedonian revolutionary and Vice President of the Presidium of ASNOM, Panko Brashnarov.
President Pendarovski was briefed on the efforts to return Brashnarov’s remains to his native Veles.
On the memorial plaque, placed by the Municipality of Veles, is written “The life-giving source of freedom did not wither”, excerpt from the welcome speech of Panko Brashnarov on August 2, 1944, at the First Session of ASNOM in the Monastery “St. Prohor Pcinjski”.
