The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today a delegation from the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of North Macedonia – MANU, led by President Taki Fiti.
At the meeting, views were exchanged about the situation in the Republic of North Macedonia, and it was concluded that MANU has a key role in the development of our society, through science and scientific thought, nurturing and promoting arts.
The meeting discussed the current work of the Academy as an autonomous institution and the need for continuous investment in science as a key precondition for sustainable social development in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Academician Taki Fiti informed the President about the activities of the Academy, which include many scientific research projects and participation at domestic and international conferences.
President Pendarovski stressed that it is necessary for the state to continuously consult the Academy of Sciences and Arts on all essential political, economic, social and cultural issues.
The delegation of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of North Macedonia – MANU congratulated President Pendarovski on his assuming of office and expressed readiness for further cooperation in the interest of the citizens and the state.
