President Stevo Pendarovski received today Carin Jamtin, Director-General of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – SIDA.
The meeting discussed the overall activities of the Agency in the Republic of North Macedonia, the implemented and current projects, as well as the plans within the framework of the regional strategy for cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans in the new 7-year program period, which began in 2021.
President Pendarovski thanked for the overall support that the Kingdom of Sweden provides through SIDA for the advancement of the reform processes in North Macedonia, as a function of the state’s progress towards integration into the European Union.
President Pendarovski also pointed to the importance of development support in the field of energy, environmental protection, local economic development, but also projects in the field of human rights protection and democratic development with an emphasis on gender issues, minority groups and anti-corruption policies.
