President Stevo Pendarovski received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of North Macedonia, Anatol Chebuc, resident in Sofia.
At the credentialing ceremony, President Pendarovski stressed the friendly relations between the two countries, which are characterized by mutual efforts for their enrichment in all areas of mutual interest, adding that we appreciate the commitment and interest in cooperation in the European integration process and achieving European aspirations for full membership in the European Union, as strategic priorities of our countries.
“Our expectations are aimed at holding the first Intergovernmental Conference, which will mark the official start of the accession negotiations of the Republic of North Macedonia with the European Union, and will be an opportunity to confirm our readiness to move towards European integration”, President Pendarovski said.
President Pendarovski stressed that North Macedonia will be actively involved in the work of the troika that chairs the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and in 2023 will take over the presidency of this prestigious organization, for which we expect fruitful and intensive cooperation with all friendly countries in the coming period.
The Moldovan Ambassador stressed that the two countries have excellent political relations, which is confirmed not only by bilateral political discussions, but also by concrete facts, adding that Moldova is particularly interested in the Macedonian experience in developing economic relations, attracting investment and promoting exports.
“In this area, I will note the openness and desire of the Chisinau authorities to develop a bilateral legal framework, especially the economic dimension, such as agreements on mutual promotion and protection of investments and economic cooperation”, Ambassador Cebuc said.
President Pendarovski wished the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Anatol Cebuc, success in performing his responsible diplomatic office.
