President Pendarovski receives credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mariam Madiha Aftab

President Stevo Pendarovski received the letters of credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Sofia, Mariam Madiha Aftab.

At the ceremony of presenting the credentials, President Pendarovski stressed that as a responsible member of the international community, the Republic of North Macedonia attaches importance to the relations with all countries, for the good of our peoples, ensuring and strengthening world peace, as well as sustainable development and economic prosperity.

“In this context, allow me to stress the interest and readiness of the Republic of North Macedonia for further advancement and development of the relations and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in all areas of common interest, both bilaterally and multilaterally”, President Pendarovski said.

The newly appointed Ambassador Mariam Madiha Aftab stressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries almost 20 years ago, Pakistan and North Macedonia have been building cordial and friendly relations and sharing common values ​​and a strong commitment to joint contribution to building a peaceful and prosperous world.

“Pakistan looks forward to working closely with North Macedonia to further strengthen our bilateral relations in a range of areas, from economy and trade to education, culture and environment”, Ambassador Aftab said.

President Pendarovski wished the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mariam Madiha Aftab, success in performing her responsible diplomatic office.
