President Stevo Pendarovski received today the MEP and leader of the Progressive Alliance of Social Democrats in the European Parliament, Iratxe García Perez.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the course of the European integration of North Macedonia, the screening process and the adjustment of the Macedonian with the European legislation. In that direction, the pace of the reform processes and the current political situation in the country were discussed.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the latest security and economic circumstances in Europe, on the developments in the Union, as well as on the priorities and goals of the Progressive Alliance, which they stand for in the European Parliament.
President Pendarovski thanked the European social democrats for the continued support for the integration of North Macedonia, confirmed in the resolutions of the European Parliament, adding that parliamentary cooperation is extremely important and necessary in the process of North Macedonia’s accession to the Union.
