President Stevo Pendarovski received today representatives of the Program Board of the Youth Cultural Center – MKC.
The representatives of the Program Board introduced President Pendarovski to the latest developments in the Youth Cultural Center. They explained that the budget allocated by the City of Skopje for 2023 will cause irreparable damage to the institution and that this will completely jeopardize the program functioning of the Center, as well as the functioning of the ensembles that operate in the institution and the festivals with a long tradition.
The representatives of the Program Board from MKC also informed about the process for the appointment of the acting director of the institution, which according to them happened with a deliberate circumvention of the prescribed legal procedures, and they asked for support from the President for their request – a legal and open competition for the appointment of a Director of the Center.
President Pendarovski said that a solution to these challenges should be found as soon as possible within the framework of legal procedures and regulations.
