President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Chargé d’Affaires in the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of North Macedonia, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the course and dynamics of the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and the interest in further enhancing relations with Qatar in all areas of common interest was reaffirmed.
In that regard, the possibilities for using the economic potentials available to both countries, intensification of business relations and the possibility for implementation of foreign investments in the country were considered.
President Pendarovski pointed out the need to improve the contractual framework and finalize bilateral cooperation agreements, as well as the need for further visa facilitation.
President Pendarovski and the Chargé d’Affaires, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, also exchanged views on the challenges faced in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the consequences of the current global situation. In this regard, the President expressed gratitude for the donation from the State of Qatar in dealing with Covid-19 and expressed hope for further cooperation in the field of health.
