President Stevo Pendarovski received today the letters of credence of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Moscow, Alfredo Cristovao Gomes Lopes.
At the ceremony of handing over the credentials, President Pendarovski expressed confidence that the Ambassador, with his engagement and diplomatic experience, will contribute to the advancement of cooperation, by initiating specific contents and forms.
“In the coming period, intensifying the political dialogue between the two countries, we are ready to take advantage of cooperation opportunities, both in the economic and in the sphere of culture, art, education and many other areas in which we could find common interest”, President Pendarovski said.
The newly appointed Ambassador Gomes Lopes said that the Republic of Guinea-Bissau is still a country in early development, and expressed his expectation for establishment of cooperation with North Macedonia, which will benefit both sides and will be in the interest of our two peoples.
