President Stevo Pendarovski received today the letters of credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of North Macedonia, Sanjay Rana, resident in Sofia.
At the ceremony of presenting the credentials, President Pendarovski stressed that India is especially important because of the personality and work of Mother Teresa, who established a lasting and unbreakable bond between Skopje and Calcutta, but also a strong bond between the two peoples.
Emphasizing that there are great opportunities for cooperation between the two countries with rich cultural and historical heritage, both bilaterally and multilaterally, President Pendarovski expressed hope that in the coming period the bilateral political dialogue will be intensified through mutual visits.
The newly appointed Ambassador Sanjay Rana stressed the high priority of the Government of India for further development of bilateral relations and cooperation with North Macedonia. In that regard, he informed that priority will be the development of deeper political engagement, strong bilateral trade and investment, as well as enhanced cooperation in the field of technology and tourism.
President Pendarovski wished the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India, Sanjay Rana, success in the performance of his diplomatic office.
