President Pendarovski receives the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassadors of Georgia and the Republic of Kazakhstan

President Pendarovski received today the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassadors of Georgia and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the ceremony of presenting the Letters of Credence by Tamuna Liluashvili, newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Sofia, President Pendarovski said that after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in February 2019, the necessary conditions for intensification of political dialogue and deepening of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest were created, whereas the European and Euro-Atlantic orientations of the two countries are especially important. President Pendarovski stressed that he believes that in the post-Covid period, the two countries, which have a great tradition, will deepen cooperation in the field of cultural tourism that will contribute to closer mutual acquaintance of the citizens of both countries.

Stressing that it is a great honor for her to be the first accredited Georgian ambassador to North Macedonia, Ambassador Liluashvili said that membership in the European Union is one of the common goals shared by the two countries. Ambassador Liluashvili noted that with the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Georgia gained a new friend and partner and thanked our country for supporting her country’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration process, as well as its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Assessing that the two countries are developing friendly relations in the spirit of mutual understanding, President Pendarovski, at the ceremony of handing over the credentials by Zhanibek Abdrashov, newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Budapest, stressed that the two countries nurture long-standing friendly relations for which there are opportunities and desire to advance by intensifying the cooperation in several areas of common interest.

Ambassador Abdrashev stressed that the further deepening and expanding of cooperation between the two countries in the coming period will correspond to the fundamental interests of both friendly countries and peoples.

President Pendarovski wished the newly appointed ambassadors success in performing their responsible diplomatic function.
