President Stevo Pendarovski received the letters of credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of North Macedonia, Larysa Dir.
“Being the Ambassador of Ukraine in these difficult times for the country, which is a victim of brutal aggression by the Russian Federation, is an exceptional task. North Macedonia has already transferred more than 230 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and in addition provided the much-needed material and technical assistance to Ukraine in the military – technical field. North Macedonia is on the right side of history: confidently moving towards a membership in the European Union, approving important decisions in NATO, joining vitally important security resolutions in the UN. I firmly believe that your country, which will chair the OSCE next year, together with Ukraine, will always defend our common civilizational values”, Ambassador Dir said in her address, adding that only together we will be able to build a new and more effective security architecture in Europe.
