The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the President of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Sentop.
The meeting exchanged views on the overall bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Turkey, which were assessed as friendly, with frequent contacts at the highest level.
The two interlocutors exchanged views and information on the situation in both countries, as well as on the latest developments in the region.
President Pendarovski expressed satisfaction with the continued support of the Republic of Turkey to the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the Republic of North Macedonia. The President expressed his expectation that the Republic of Turkey, as a strategic partner of the Republic of North Macedonia, will soon ratify the country’s accession protocol to NATO.
President Pendarovski stressed that the membership of the Republic of North Macedonia in NATO will have a positive impact on the further stabilization of the region, as well as on the overall internal, social and political situation in the Republic of North Macedonia.
