The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today Marko Mantovanelli, Country Manager for North Macedonia and for Kosovo, in the Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on the overall economic situation in North Macedonia and expressed satisfaction with the established partnership with the World Bank, which as it has been emphasized, has made a significant contribution to achieving our reform agenda in many areas over the past 26 years.
The World Bank Country Manager, Mantovanelli, briefed President Pendarovski on the group’s ongoing activities, as well as on the goals and projects under the new four-year partnership framework with North Macedonia, which should support faster, more comprehensive and sustainable development.
President Pendarovski stressed the extremely important role of the World Bank in our overall economic development, emphasizing that although the country is experiencing a positive trend, further maximum engagement by all relevant domestic factors in building and maintaining political stability and legal prudence is essential, as key prerequisites for prosperity of North Macedonia.
