My dear fellow citizens,
I know that every day you are overwhelmed with information and press conferences about the spread of the epidemic and I fully understand your fear for your health and the health of your loved ones. I understand your concern of the bad news and the extension of restrictive measures. I have heard personally, I do not know how many times, the appeals from the competent authorities to stay at home and avoid physical contact with the environment. There is, indeed, a big reason for that.
In the past 20 years, we have gone through a lot of difficulties, but, to be honest, we have never had such a deadly opponent. A few days ago, we introduced a state of emergency for the first time, and the day before yesterday, also for the first time, a curfew was imposed on the entire territory, where the police and the army control the entrance and exit of all settlements.
Doctors and nurses, soldiers, police officers and volunteers are at work every day. The employees in trade, transport, services, who, despite the critical situation, remain in their jobs, also make a huge contribution to maintaining the stability of the system.
While the whole world is looking for a vaccine and a cure, self-isolation is the best prevention against the virus. I know it is hard for you, but we have to save our lives and help the helpless and the elderly.
We have no choice but to endure this period! Please be optimistic, we will all together endure!
