President Pendarovski to ambulance and polyclinics staff: I wish you less interventions, you have the support of everyone to endure

The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, talked today via video link with the Director of the Health Center – Skopje, Dr. Viktor Isjanovski, with the Head of the Emergency Medical Service, Dr. Milica Bubalo, as well as with Dr. Marija Mileska Avramoska, who is part of the ambulance intervention team.

In the conversation, President Pendarovski was introduced to the previous, as well as the current work of the polyclinics that are part of the Health Center – Skopje, the number of calls to the Ambulance, as well as the intensity and volume of work of the doctors in these health facilities.

“All of us in this state of emergency have to work constantly and we complain about that, but for you doctors, working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is an established practice and you just have to function like that. In this regard, I thank you for your selfless efforts, especially in these extraordinary circumstances”, President Pendarovski told the doctors in today’s video call.

During the talks, the doctors informed President Pendarovski that the polyclinics on the territory of the City of Skopje have sufficient medical and non-medical staff that corresponds to the needs of the citizens. At the same time, as the doctors said, they currently have everything they need in terms of protective equipment and that new equipment arrives in a timely manner.

President Pendarovski paid tribute to today’s interlocutors, but also to the other employees in the Emergency Medical Service and the polyclinics in the city, for their commitment so far. As President Pendarovski said, they are all at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, as they first come into contact with the sick and are at high risk.

During the conversation, President Pendarovski wished the doctors of the Emergency Medical Service less interventions as possible in the coming period, because, as President Pendarovski said, this will mean that the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus is slowly subsiding. At the same time, President Pendarovski expressed his strong support to the doctors to endure in the coming weeks.
