President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Krzysztof Grzelczyk.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the current political developments in both countries, current challenges and opportunities for utilizing potentials to deepen bilateral cooperation.
In the year when the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations is marked, it was mutually concluded that the relations between the two countries are at an exceptional level and satisfaction was expressed with the continuous political dialogue, the cooperation within the framework of international institutions and the partnership in the NATO Alliance.
The President thanked for the continuous support from Poland in the implementation of the Macedonian strategic goals and expressed readiness for further cooperation on the European integration plan and fulfillment of the reform agenda.
In that direction, the President emphasized the importance of the smooth running of our accession process in the EU and expressed the expectation that Polish activism and support, bilaterally, as friends of the EU Enlargement Group and through the Visegrad Group, will continue with the same vigor in the future.
At the meeting, the readiness for advancement of educational cooperation was highlighted and the steps in the direction of expanding economic cooperation, trade exchange and cooperation in the energy, IT and agricultural sectors were welcomed.
