President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, as part of her official visit to Montenegro, met today in Podgorica with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandic.
At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the current development of relations and cooperation between the two countries, which are characterized by traditional strong friendship, without open questions, with identical views on a bilateral, regional and multilateral level, while the achieved cooperation is an example of good neighborly relations in the region.
The meeting also confirmed the common strategic goals – peace and stability in the region and membership in the EU, as well as cooperation and alliance within the NATO Alliance.
President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized the importance of intensifying parliamentary cooperation, with was approved by both countries by showing their commitment to democratic development and regional stability, setting an example for successful cooperation in the Western Balkans.
In order to promote cooperation in several areas of mutual interest, President Siljanovska Davkova said that economic, regional and cooperation in the European integration are the areas in which both countries will have to work and focus more intensively.
