President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, during the World Government Summit in Dubai, met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The President thanked for the hospitality and for the opportunity to participate in the prestigious summit, assessing it as an exceptionally important platform for addressing global and regional challenges and for conducting a meaningful dialogue with prominent leaders and partners from around the world.
The focus of the conversation was on the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation, while the need to improve the legal framework was highlighted.
Special emphasis was put on the economic relations and the possibility of accelerating projects of mutual interest, which are in the preparatory phase.
The President welcomed the introduction of a visa-free regime between the two countries, assessing it as an excellent opportunity to facilitate overall communication between the two societies.
She expressed confidence that the meeting, which is taking place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, will provide a strong impetus for the overall further promotion of cooperation between the two countries.
The interlocutors exchanged views on current global issues and the importance of efforts to resolve existing conflicts.
In that context, the President welcomed the constructive and responsible role of the United Arab Emirates, which is based on the principles of peace and tolerance. The President stressed the interest of the Macedonian side in deepening cooperation through joint initiatives for intercultural dialogue and promotion of common civilizational values.
