President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Ambassador of Japan, Hironori Sawada, in a farewell meeting.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski thanked Ambassador Sawada for his overall diplomatic engagement, for the excellent and constructive cooperation with the Macedonian institutions, as well as for his efforts to deepen the Macedonian-Japanese friendship.
In this regard, the President expressed his gratitude to the Japanese government for the overall support and for the implementation of a large number of projects in several sectors in our society, especially in the field of health and education, as well as for the help received to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the farewell meeting, the President wished Ambassador Sawada success in his future career, and reaffirmed North Macedonia’s readiness for further improvement of overall relations with Japan, intensification of political dialogue and economic cooperation.
