President Stevo Pendarovski received today Rene Troccaz, Special Envoy for the Western Balkans of the French Republic.
The interlocutors discussed the current situation in the country, as well as the next stages that should be completed as part of the process of accession negotiations of the Republic of North Macedonia with the European Union. The meeting also discussed the relations with the neighborhood and the region of the Western Balkans in the context of the European integration, as well as the process of enlargement of the European Union, where the interlocutors exchanged opinions and information on the conditions and perspectives of the countries in the region in the wider geopolitical and security context.
President Pendarovski expressed his gratitude for the French support and expertise that we receive in the European integration process and expressed his expectation that France, as one of the pillars of the European Union, with its support, will make a substantial contribution to the faster integration of the countries of the Western Balkans into the European Union.
At the meeting, it was established that the Macedonian-French relations are based on traditional friendship and mutual understanding and respect.
