President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Ambassador of the United States of America in the country, Angela Price Aggeler.
The interlocutors discussed the course of the European integration process of North Macedonia in the context of the completed screening process and the recent decisions of the Council of the EU. In that direction, they agreed that it is necessary to continue the commitment to European integration, taking into account that through the process of negotiations for EU membership, a positive transformation of the democratic capacities of society will be enabled, opportunities will be opened for greater economic prosperity, exchange of services and good, as well as greater mobility of the population for education and professional development.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the situation in the region, as well as the security developments in the wider region, the war in Ukraine and the developments in the Middle East.
President Pendarovski expressed satisfaction with the stable and dynamic Macedonian-American friendship, stressing that the Macedonian society and citizens especially appreciate the support from the United States. In that direction, he expressed confidence that the US support will continue in the coming period, as a guarantor of peace, stability and prosperity of our region.
