President Stevo Pendarovski awarded the certificates to the participants in the “Young Managers and Business Leaders” program which was organized by the Foreign Investors Council, under the auspices of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The integral text of the address of President Pendarovski is below.
Distinguished President of the Foreign Investors Council,
Distinguished members of the Foreign Investors Council,
Respected young managers,
Ladies and gentlemen,
Dear friends,
I have special honor and pleasure to address you at the closing ceremony of the program for young managers and business leaders, which under the auspices of the President, is implemented by the Foreign Investors Council and provides practical experience to talented young people up to 29 years of age in companies that are members of the Council.
Thanks to this program, from January to the end of May this year, 32 young citizens from our country, through a series of trainings, gained skills and knowledge necessary for their further professional development. The trainings were conducted in 18 companies that are members of the Foreign Investors Council. I am glad that, from year to year, the number of companies interested in participating in the program is significantly increasing. So, if last year were 8, now there are 18 companies participating in the program. By making themselves available to young managers and business leaders, these businesses have taken an extremely important socially responsible step. I express great gratitude for their interest!
Along with the number of companies, the number of candidates applying for the program is increasing and it is really more and more difficult to make a selection of the best ones. Namely, the fact that four of the participants in the program got employment in the companies where they worked through the program speaks for the mutual benefit.
I expect and wish these numbers to continue to grow every year. Simply because both young managers and companies benefit. I am convinced that such programs substantially contribute to the additional motivation of young professionals to build their careers in their homeland. They are the future creators of the processes that should lead to the establishment of a system at the top of which will be quality, commitment, professionalism and moral values. It is a precondition to reach a prosperous, modern and developed Republic of North Macedonia, which is undoubtedly a common interest of all our citizens and the business community.
In this context, I would like to mention the preparation of the strategic document MKD2030 in which the Foreign Investors Council also participated. Namely, in addition to digitalization, decentralization, environmental, economic, agricultural and health policies, education and science also play an important role, with anti-migration policies and opening perspectives for young people to stay in their country.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to use my address today to emphasize that the program for young managers and business leaders has unequivocally proven to be an excellent opportunity to involve and cover a different educational profile of ambitious young people who have a desire for quality professional advancement. I have no doubt that everyone who was part of the program will continue to build a successful career and fully realize their potential. The same goes for those who applied, but were not among those selected this year, due to the great interest and high quality. On this occasion, I encourage them to apply next year as well. Certainly not only this, but also other similar programs and projects that enable the acquisition of knowledge, skills and experience.
Finally, let me once again thank the Foreign Investor Council and its President Stefan Peter for their interest and excellent cooperation, I wish all participating companies success in business, and the young managers and leaders, health, happiness and, of course, successful professional development and career.
Thank you.
