Signing of the Protocol for awarding “Boris Trajkovski” scholarships for the City College in Thessaloniki for the academic 2021/2022

President Stevo Pendarovski, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mila Carovska, and the President and Principal of City College, University of York Europe Campus, Yannis Ververidis, signed today the Protocol for cooperation and awarding “Boris Trajkovski” scholarships for the academic 2021/2022.

The signed protocol envisages joint cooperation for the academic 2021/2022 in providing twenty scholarships for the Pan-European Executive MBA program with a double degree from the University of York and the University of Strasbourg, which is being implemented in Thessaloniki, Greece, within the “Boris Trajkovski” scholarships.

Each scholarship amounts to EUR 14,890, with fifty percent provided by the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, and the other fifty percent provided by the University.

The selection of candidates for these scholarships will be conducted jointly by the President, the Ministry of Education and Science, the International Foundation “Boris Trajkovski” and the City College, through a joint commission composed of one of their representatives, in accordance with the conditions for admission to the University and the legal regulations of the Republic of North Macedonia.

City College in Thessaloniki, Greece, from January 2021 turned into the University of York Europe Campus, which is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of leading universities in the UK and one of the world’s largest institutions in the field of research.

The Pan-European Executive MBA Program is an international, innovative program designed for today’s managers and professionals who strive to improve their skills and knowledge for professional, career and personal development. Upon successful completion of this program, students earn two executive master’s degrees in business administration from the University of York and the University of Strasbourg.

The “Boris Trajkovski” Scholarships are being awarded since 2003. The students, who have successfully completed the program, actively contribute to the development and growth of the economy and society of the Republic of North Macedonia. “Boris Trajkovski” scholarships promote friendship and cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Hellenic Republic.

As of next week, the call for application for the “Boris Trajkovski” scholarships will be available on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science.
