President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received Captain Neda Volceva and Lieutenant Sara Tasevska who successfully completed the seven-month “Maneuver Captain’s Career Course” in Georgia, US, organized by the US training center “Fort Moore”.
At the meeting, which was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sasko Lafchiski, and the US Ambassador Angela Aggeler, the two female Army members introduced the President to the phases, contents and quality of the military-educational training and shared their further plans, commitments and ambitions for career advancement.
Recognizing in them the potential for future generals, Siljanovska-Davkova congratulated Volceva and Tasevska on the successfully completed training and expressed confidence that they would apply the acquired knowledge, skills and expertise in the interest of the Macedonian army.
According to her, the implementation of this program is an investment in the Macedonian-US partnership and is particularly important for the promotion of the country as a loyal and credible ally in NATO.
Recognizing the excellent results achieved by women, the interlocutors agreed that their participation in international training should be a regular practice.
At the meeting, Siljanovska-Davkova reaffirmed her commitment to establishing a Regional Center of Excellence for Women, Peace and Security based in Skopje, for promotion of women in security and defense in the region.
