President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Martin Pamer, and discussed cultural diplomacy and opportunities for promotion of Macedonian art to the Austrian public.
Both agreed that culture is an important segment in overall bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the Austrian and Macedonian institutions.
Siljanovska-Davkova pointed out that the opening of a Macedonian Cultural Center in Austria would contribute to greater promotion of Macedonian art and to strengthening ties with the diaspora.
For the President, Austria is one of our most important political and economic partners and a leading foreign investor in the country. She welcomed the upcoming conference of Austrian ambassadors from the region, which will be hosted by Ambassador Pamer, and thanked him for the principled and vocal support of the Macedonian path to the EU.
The interlocutors addressed the security challenges facing Europe and confirmed the importance of the urgent integration of the Western Balkan countries into the European Union based on the Copenhagen Criteria.
The Ambassador welcomed Siljanovska-Davkova’s active engagement in domestic and foreign policy and confirmed Austria’s strong support for the Macedonian European integration.
