Students from the International and Intercultural Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, attended a simulation today of a session of the Security Council, organized by the Presidential Center for Political Education, with the support of the partner foundation “Friedrich Ebert”.
10 students participated in the simulation and each of them was in the role of a member of the Security Council.
The topic of discussion was “The current security situation in the country and in the Euro-Atlantic region”.
President Stevo Pendarovski participated in the simulation and chaired it as a regular session of the Security Council. He introduced the participants in the simulation to the role and work of the Security Council, as an advisory body that reviews security and defense issues and makes proposals to the Assembly and the Government.
The purpose of the simulation is to involve young staff and bring them closer to the work and functioning of state institutions and bodies. The Security Council simulation is a regular activity of the 2022 Annual Work Program of the Presidential Center for Political Education.
