At a ceremony with the highest state and military honors, President Stevo Pendarovski welcomed today the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Caputova, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
President Pendarovski and President Caputova held a tete-a-tete meeting, which was followed by a plenary meeting of the two delegations.
Focus of the talks are bilateral relations, Slovakia’s experience in the EU accession process, NATO alliance and security challenges in the region and Europe.
President Pendarovski thanked Slovakia for its sincere support for the Macedonian European integration and pointed out that our accession process begins at a critical moment for the European security architecture. He expressed expectation for a more dynamic approach and proactivity from the member states of the Union regarding the enlargement of the European Union.
A joint press conference of President Pendarovski and President Caputova will follow after the plenary meeting of the delegations.
