“Over the past twenty years, a respected, well-known and exposed community of over 300 successful, accomplished individuals has been created, who have risen above individual careers and contributed to the common good”, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova said at the awarding of the Boris Trajkovski scholarships for the academic 2025/2026.
According to the President, this Greek-Macedonian educational cooperation is another pebble in the mosaic of sincere trust between the two countries and societies.
For her, it is most important that the state does not forget the scholarship holders after the completion of the program and includes them in the creation of public policies and values.
Congratulating and wishing success to this year’s scholarship winners, the Minister of Education and Science, Vesna Janevska, expressed her satisfaction with the functioning of the European Campus of the University of York, City College, which has produced around 20 generations of graduates who have been successfully integrated into the Macedonian society.
For her, the scholarship is a recognition of the perseverance, talent and potential of the selected students.
Principal Yannis Ververidis highlighted the special value of studying at the European Campus of the University of York, City College. He pointed out that the Executive MBA is a modern program that is implemented jointly with the University of Strasbourg (a highly prestigious French institution with 18 Nobel Prize winners in its history) and leads to two MBA degrees: one from the University of York and one from the University of Strasbourg.
The Boris Trajkovski Scholarships for the second-cycle of studies of the Executive MBA program have been awarded to 20 students for 22 years. It is a result of the joint activity and cooperation of the head of the state, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Boris Trajkovski International Foundation and the European Campus of York University, City College of Thessaloniki, Greece.
