President Stevo Pendarovski received today Sir Stuart Peach, Special Envoy of the United Kingdom to the Western Balkans.
The meeting discussed the overall bilateral relations between the countries, the situation in the region, as well as the impact of the Russian invasion on Ukraine on the stability and security of the European continent.
President Pendarovski said that North Macedonia attaches particular importance to the development of bilateral relations with the United Kingdom and has a constant interest in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in several spheres of mutual interest.
In that context, President Pendarovski expressed his gratitude for the latest British donation, which includes 14 mobile training units for Army members in urban environment, which will be handed over today at the Krivolak training field, evaluating it as another confirmation of the strong alliance of the two countries – members of the NATO alliance.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged regarding the beginning of North Macedonia’s accession negotiations with the European Union.
