President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Letters of Credence of Apirat Sugondhabhirom, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Ankara.
At the ceremony of presenting the Letters of Credence, President Pendarovski, welcoming Ambassador Sugondhabhirom to our country, said that despite the geographical distance, the Republic of North Macedonia is ready for further improvement of relations and cooperation with the Kingdom of Thailand, in all areas of mutual interest.
“I am deeply convinced that in front of our two countries, with a rich cultural and historical heritage, there is a huge untapped potential for comprehensive and fruitful cooperation, especially on the economic level, and also in the sphere of tourism, culture, education, and in other spheres”, President Pendarovski said and expressed confidence that all the necessary activities and initiatives for the advancement of bilateral political dialogue will continue.
The newly appointed Thai Ambassador, Apirat Sugondhabhirom, said in his address that the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of North Macedonia have enjoyed cordial relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2005 and expressed his will to further strengthen the ties between the governmental, parliamentary and business sectors.
“I am entrusted by my country to explore ways and means to promote the two-way trade and investment, as well as to encourage the private sectors of both sides to strengthen business contacts among themselves, and to promote the overall enabling environments and build better partnerships that would unleash the potential of trade and economic ties between our two countries”, Ambassador Sugondhabhirom said.
President Pendarovski wished Ambassador Sugondhabhirom success in the performance of his office.
