The Office of the President and the Commission for Prevention and Protection from Discrimination signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Office of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, with the aim of undertaking coordinated activities in the direction of the promotion of protection, and ensuring the full and equal enjoyment of human rights and basic freedoms for all citizens in the Republic of North Macedonia.

The Memorandum was signed by the Secretary General of the President’s Office, Mile Bosnjakovski, and the President of the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination, Kire Vasilev.

According to the memorandum, the two institutions agree to jointly cooperate in terms of promotional activities and campaigns for prevention and protection against discrimination, support in organizing international conferences and events in the field of protection against discrimination, cooperation and participation in activities and trainings organized by the Presidential center for political education, as well as an exchange of expert opinions in the field of proposals and petitions related to protection against discrimination.

This Memorandum confirms the interest in strengthening mutual cooperation in support of activities for the prevention and protection of citizens against discrimination in the Republic of North Macedonia.
