On the eve of the International Day of Rural Women, organized by the Center for Crisis Management and in cooperation with the National Federation of Farmers, the Wife of the President, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, visited the Prespa region.
Getting acquainted with the activities of the National Federation of Farmers and getting information about the production of apples in the Prespa region, on the farm of the Gjorgievski family agricultural holding in the village of Bolno, Resen, the Wife of the President had the opportunity to see up close the method of apple production and storage, and participated in apple picking. At the same time, she met a dozen female farmers with whom she discussed the challenges they face and future plans for improving their work.
Gjorgievska also met with members of the Trantalovski family farm, who are also registered food operators, during which they presented their “Prespino” product line. They said that all their products are domestically produced and that with them they want to influence the domestic market to increase awareness of buying and valuing domestic production.
As part of her visit to the Prespa region, the Wife of the President met in Resen with Vasil Jankula, a person with cerebral palsy who comes from Mala Prespa, Albania. With Vasil, who helps organize sports activities for people with disabilities, Gjorgievska discussed his challenges and the inclusion of people with disabilities in our country.
