The Wife of the President with the youngest at the “Litera” Festival

The Wife of the President, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, participated in the International Festival of Literature and Illustration for Children “Litera 2023” which is held in the Museum of the City of Skopje.

As part of the event, Ms. Gjorgievska read the picture book “The Cloud in a Yellow Coat” by the Croatian author and multimedia artist, Nikolina Manojlovic Vrachar, to the present school children. The Wife of the President had the opportunity to talk with the author of the picture book who, together with the illustrators and creative artists, Dominik Vukovic and Branka Hollingsworth-Nara, as guests from Croatia, participated in the diverse program of the Festival.

In the talks with the guests from Croatia and with the conceptual creator of the “Litera” Festival, Sofia Semenpeeva, the Wife of the President stressed the great importance of such events where the audience has the opportunity to get to know authors and literature for children and young people, which raises awareness among parents and children about the influence of such literary publications on the correct intellectual and emotional development of children.

“Litera” is an international festival of literature and illustration for children, within the framework of which various activities are held aimed at the professional public, publishing houses that publish literature for children and young people, children of school and preschool age, parents, illustrators and writers. The guests from Croatia were joined at the festival by domestic illustrators, writers, authors of picture books, publishers, multimedia visual artists.
