President Stevo Pendarovski received today Fatih Donmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkiye.
At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the excellent bilateral relations and the successful cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Turkiye, which are developing in the spirit of traditional friendship and partnership.
The interlocutors discussed the situation and the challenges in the field of energy, caused by the war in Ukraine, as well as dealing with the consequences on the countries’ economies, and they assessed that despite the good economic cooperation, the two countries should also intensify cooperation in the field of energy, according to the policy movements in the world and in European frameworks. In that context, President Pendarovski expressed his expectation for finalization of the memorandum of cooperation in the field of energy between the two countries, which will contribute to increasing cooperation, exchange of experiences and support in the area of gasification.
President Pendarovski thanked Turkiye for the long-term and significant support.
