Ladies and gentlemen,
Although I am not able to be a part of this Second International Congress of Nurses in person, I thank you for the invitation and the opportunity to address you via video message to wish you a successful work.
First of all, let me praise the cooperation that you have with professional associations from the region and beyond, which represents an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with your colleagues and share new professional achievements and practices, through which, I am sure, you contribute to the advancement of nursing.
The healthcare system is one of the most vital segments in any society, but the basis of quality healthcare, in addition to investments in equipment and technology, is undoubtedly the investment in human resources – in quality, professional and expert personnel.
This congress is an opportunity to promote nursing, the role and importance of nurses, the importance of people’s health, as well as an opportunity to upgrade your knowledge and gain new experiences, which is ultimately of interest to all of us, to the whole society.
Allow me to thank you for the humane and responsible way of working until now, as well as for the effort you invest, with the aim of timely and quality care for the patients.
The Covid-19 pandemic has made your profession much more visible, but I believe that in the future the support you will receive from the institutions will be much more pronounced and stronger, regardless of what challenges we will all be faced with.
I wish you another successful congress, and I wish the participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey, Croatia and Switzerland a pleasant stay.
